Highly driven and responsible, Cedric is *the* guy you can count on to get stuff done. He’s a firm believer in form following function, and often takes a minimalist approach to design. For him, the most crucial thing about being an industrial designer is finding the delicate balance between ideas that are aesthetically pleasing yet feasible to make at the same time. He studied product design in Ngee Ann Polytechnic.
As a kid, he wanted to be an astronaut — he was fascinated by the idea of going into space. He’s a big fan of Tom Sachs and his space programme. Cedric grew up mostly outdoors, doing things like rock climbing, kayaking and mountaineering. On the weekends, he goes bouldering with his friends. Recently he’s picked up surfing, and is absolutely addicted to it. Nature has had a huge impact on his life, and its influence on his work shows.
His happy place is Canggu, Bali — where life is slow-paced and laid-back, and close to nature and the sea. Oh, and he loves chicken rice.
