An optimist, dreamer, and a carefree soul, Joey dabbled in furniture and interior design and real estate before becoming a woodworker. It was during his time at NAFA studying furniture design where he discovered his love for hand tools, experimenting, being in a workshop and the smell of wood.
Now, Joey brings a interdisciplinary perspective to making furniture. Besides woodworking, he also drives the lorry when the team heads out for installations. He hopes to run his own workshop one day. His other passions include getting fit and all kinds of sports.
Joey’s biggest influences growing up were his parents, who taught him how to be respectful and to treat people kindly. He also loved Crime Watch and Ultra Man for its sense of justice (the good guys always won), as well as Dragon Ball Z (because how could you not). Fun fact: when he was little, he wanted to be a paranormal investigator.
