Jon is our industrial designer who’s practical, detailed, and usually caffeinated. If he’s not drawing and prototyping for projects, he can be found sketching classic cars that look like they’ve been printed out. He attributes the attention to detail in his drawings to being fascinated by Hergé’s (creator of Tintin) highly realistic sketching style as a kid.
As an industrial designer, Jon’s main priority is understanding the needs of the people we work with, in order to deliver a product that satisfies those requirements. Day-to-day, he also does research about materials and manufacturing processes. Before joining Roger&Sons, Jon studied industrial design at Monash University.
In his free time, Jon explores parks and nature reserves and learns the names of the insects, plants and birds he discovers there. And little known fact: if he had to eat one dish for the rest of his life, it would hands down be grass jelly cubes with lychee on shaved ice.
